Strange Dinosaur Eggs Spotted in East China's Jiangxi

Eight dinosaur egg fossils were found imbedded in a large rock in the shape of "a blooming lotus" recently, according to archeologists from east China's Jiangxi Province.

Eight dinosaur egg fossils were found imbedded in a large rock in the shape of "a blooming lotus" recently, according to archeologists from east China's Jiangxi Province.

The big stone was discovered by local people on Aug. 1 after itfell from a mountain near Changxi Village in Pingxiang City.

The eggs were about 20 centimeters long and covered with lines and worm trails.

Experts confirmed the fossils to be 65 million years old.

China is famous for yielding various fossilized dinosaur eggs, many from Jiangxi Province.

To date over 20 sites have produced fossilized dinosaur eggs, including a nest of eggs found in 1964. Two eggs found in 1976 contained embryos which was quite rare, according to archeologists.
