Taiwan is an inseparable part of China, which is a fact widely accepted by international community, said the president.

He ensured that Georgia would stand with China either in the United Nations or in other international forums. He expressed his confidence that Chinese people would achieve the great cause of reunification of motherland.

Shevardnadze noted that Georgia suffers much from separatism, as the Abkhazia issue seriously hampers the country's development and the people's normal life. Georgia would always remember firm support from the Chinese government on this issue, he said.
