Ali's Daughter Wins First World Boxing Title

Laila Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali, won her first world boxing title in Las Vegas on Saturday night by stopping her rival Suzy Taylor in the second round.

Laila Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali, won her first world boxing title in Las Vegas on Saturday night by stopping her rival Suzy Taylor in the second round.

"I was just getting started, I was just getting warmed up," said Ali who won the IBA super middleweight championship to improve her record to 12-0 including nine knockouts.

After father Muhammad Ali received a standing ovation upon his entry into the arena, daughter Ali cornered Taylor (10-7-1) with lefts and rights to the head before referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight with 1:11 into the second round.
