Chinese railway workers on Sunday finished rebuilding a bridge demolished by flood waters about two months ago on the Longhai railway, a railway linking eastern Chinaand western China.

The Bahe bridge, rebuilt within 60 days, is a two-lane 395.88-meter railway bridge with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

Railway transportation in the area was halted after the bridge was destroyed by a fierce flood on June 9.

Sources from the Railway Ministry said the bridge was rebuilt at a record speed but the construction work is sound and has passed an inspection by experts.
