As a part of the central Asia regional economic cooperation program of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the CARCCC will provide a cooperation platform for the customs bodies of central Asian countries, said Geert Van Der Linden, director of the East-Asia and Mid-Asia Bureau of ADB.

The CARCCC is aimed at seeking closer trade and economic ties within the region, he said.

The 26 participants included representatives from the World Customs Organization and the ADB as well as customs officials from China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Azarbaijan.
