Seven Confirmed Dead in North China Fireworks Plant Explosion

Seven people were confirmed dead following an explosion at the Taigu Fireworks Plant, located in Taigu County in north China's Shanxi Province on Aug. 16, local government sources said Tuesday.

Seven people were confirmed dead following an explosion at the Taigu Fireworks Plant, located in Taigu County in north China's Shanxi Province on Aug. 16, local government sources said Tuesday.

Eight people were injured in the blast, one critically. The critically injured victim is being treated in a local hospital.

The cause of the blast is still under investigation.
