China Willing to Boost Ties with Algeria: CPPCC Chairman

The Chinese government and people will continue to develop relations with Algeria, Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said Monday in Beijing.

The Chinese government and people will continue to develop relations with Algeria, Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said Monday in Beijing.

During a meeting with Mohamed Salah Mentouri, president of the National Economic and Social Council of Algeria, Li said bilateral relations had withstood changes in the international situation over the past 40 years.

Li said exchanges between the economic and social research institutes of the two countries were an important part of friendly bilateral relations, and he expressed the hope that the two organizations would continue to expand exchanges and cooperation.

Mentouri said the two countries shared a long-standing and solidly-based friendship. He expressed a willingness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
