Blairs Leave France After 3-weeks Holiday

British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his family left Toulouse on Wednesday for London after three weeks of holiday in the small village of Le Vernet, Haute-Garonne in southern France.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his family left Toulouse on Wednesday for London after three weeks of holiday in the small village of Le Vernet, Haute-Garonne in southern France.

Blair and his wife Cherie arrived on August 7 at Le Vernet, a village of 2,000 residents about 20 kilometers south of Toulouse. Three of their four children had arrived one day before with theirmaternal grandmother.

On August 12, the Blairs met with French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and his wife, Anne-Marie, at the Chateau de Lagrezette in Caillac, a village of 700 inhabitants outside Cahors.Offices of both prime ministers said the tete-a-tete was "strictlyprivate."

The Blairs have vacationed in France for several years.
