First Air Link Between China, Kagoshima Launched

A China Eastern Airlines (CEA) passenger airplane made its inaugural flight Wednesday from Shanghai to Kagoshima, Japan.

A China Eastern Airlines (CEA) passenger airplane made its inaugural flight Wednesday from Shanghai to Kagoshima, Japan.

Flight A319, which will fly on every Wednesday and Saturday, was the first in China to link with Kagoshima and the 10th CEA air link to Japan.

The flight departs from Shanghai at 10:10 a.m. and arrives in Kagoshima at 11:40 a.m. The return flight leaves Kagoshima at 12:30 p.m. and arrives at Shanghai at 2:00 p.m..

Kagoshima, on the southernmost tip of Kyushu, is 860 kilometers from Shanghai. The air route will facilitate cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
