Dai Yun toppled top seed Camilla Martin of Denmark, ensuring a clean sweep of last four spots by the Chinese women shuttlers in the 170,000 US dollars Indonesia Open badminton tournament in Surabaya on Friday.

The match between the two top women players proved to a physical encounter full of technical tricks. After losing the first set 11-7, Chinese Dai Yun outpowered her old archrival All-England champion Martin 11-7 and 11-5 in 65 minutes.

Martin who defeated Dai to win the world title in 1999, mastered the net to win the first set before the Chinese changed her tactic to push her opponent backwards to keep the rallies going.

In the deciding set, Chinese Dai appeared to be at the peak of her preparation for the Asian Games slated for next month by leading 8-5 and sealing the match by winning the last points.

Dai will meet her compatriot Zhang Ning, who survived a big scare before booking 1-11, 11-8, 11-1 against Thai Sujitra Ekmongkolpaisarn.

In other matches, second seed and Singapore open winner Zhou Mibeat her fellow Chinese Xie Xingfang, a former Asian champion 11-9,6-11, 13-12 in 70 minutes, and will take on another compatriot Gong Ruina who beat South Korea's Kim Kyeung Ran in three games.
