Diver Tian Aims to Defend his Diving Title in Asian Games

Olympic champion Tian Liang of China admitted that chief rivals are nobody else other than his compatriots in the coming Asian Games slated for September 29 to October 14 in Busan, South Korea.

Olympic champion Tian Liang of China admitted that chief rivals are nobody else other than his compatriots in the coming Asian Games slated for September 29 to October 14 in Busan, South Korea.

Tian, who won the men's platform titles in the 1998 Bangkok Asian Games and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, said on Thursday that "my fellow divers, they are younger than I, but are eager to beat me in the Asian Games."

"I will feel lucky and grateful should I succeed in defending my Asian Games title," said Tian, adding that he will spare no efforts in the battle against his younger fellow Chinese divers inthe coming Asiad.
