Beijing reception to mark DPRK's founding anniversary

Ambassador Choe Jin Su of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to China hosted a reception at his embassy residence in Beijing Friday to mark the DPRK's 54th founding anniversary.

Ambassador Choe Jin Su of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to China hosted a reception at his embassy residence in Beijing Friday to mark the DPRK's 54th founding anniversary.

In his address, Jiang Chunyun, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC), said China and the DPRK are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, and that it is an unswerving policy of the Communist Partyof China and the Chinese government to keep developing and expanding Sino-Korean friendly, cooperative ties.

In the context of new circumstances, China is ready to work along with the DPRK people to contribute positively to the growth of Sino-Korean friendship.

Ambassador Choe Jin Su said the DPRK-China friendship should bepassed down from generation to generation, and that the DPRK wouldmake unrelenting efforts for the sustained growth of bilateral friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
