The North America Fur Association (NAFA) staged a fur fashion show in Beijing Friday in a fresh moveto exploit the approaching winter fur season in China.

The adventure and romance of a by-gone era were interpreted in fur fashions by leading fur designers from North America, Europe and Hong Kong, said Tina Jagros, Executive Director of NAFA.

Even though China is a big clothes manufacturer boasting a large number of exports each year, it still lacks quality productsgood enough to meet consumer demand, while many of the world's leading companies are about to make the most of its potential market.

Friday's fashion show in particular featured fur clothes for travelers in fall and winter. NAFA previously held several fashionshows in Shenyang, Harbin, Urumqi and other cities in north China.

The association expects the demand of Chinese customers for high quality and luxury clothes will increase with the rapid economic growth and improvement in the people's living standards.

NAFA officials said the association will continue to provide first-class fur garments for Chinese consumers and strengthen cooperation with Chinese colleagues in clothes design and organization of fashion shows.
