Typhoon Sinlaku Approaches East China

Typhoon Sinlaku, the 16th typhoon of this year, arrived at the southern part of the East China Sea at 5:00 a.m. Saturday with the maximum wind force of 40 meters persecond.

Typhoon Sinlaku, the 16th typhoon of this year, arrived at the southern part of the East China Sea at 5:00 a.m. Saturday with the maximum wind force of 40 meters persecond.

The typhoon center is to move westward at a speed of 10 km per hour. It is expected to land from an area between Fuqing and Fuding cities in east China's Fujian Province Saturday night or early Sunday morning, according to a report issued by China's Central Meteorological Station.

Influenced by Sinlaku, wind with a force of moderate or whole gale is expected to hit the mouth of Yangtze River, East China Sea,Taiwan and parts of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces Saturday.
