South Korea Beats China, into Last Eight of Women's Volleyball Worlds

South Korea won a berth in the last eight after winning China in straight sets in a second round match at the 2002 women's volleyball world championships Sunday in Stuttgart.

South Korea won a berth in the last eight after winning China in straight sets in a second round match at the 2002 women's volleyball world championships Sunday in Stuttgart.

The 25-22, 25-21, 25-23 victory helped the South Koreans to tie with China for Pool F's top rank, each with two wins and one loss.

Earlier on Sunday, Bulgaria scored a second win in the same pool, beating Central American side of Puerto Rico 3-0. Bulgaria thus took a quarter-final place as one of the second round's two best third-ranked teams.
