The same ITU TELECOM ASIA event was hosted by Hong Kong in 2000with great success and the organizer, ITU, has decided to come back to Hong Kong for their ITU TELECOM ASIA 2002.

Chan and Yuen will join a corps of over 100 youth representatives from 55 ITU members in the Asia-Pacific region andattend a full week of forum sessions and side activities, which would place them among the key decision makers of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector and offer them access to thelatest ICT developments in a cross cultural and multi-disciplinarycontext.

The Youth Forum is a highlighted element of this year's ITU TELECOM ASIA 2002, which will take place concurrent with the main forum in Hong Kong. This is a new initiative of ITU TELECOM and a first ever such event in Asia, after the successful launch of the Youth Forum in Africa in November 2001.
