Chinese FM leaves to attend UN General Assembly

A Chinese delegation led by Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan left Beijing Monday for New York to attend the 57th General Assembly of the United Nations.

A Chinese delegation led by Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan left here Monday for New York to attend the 57th General Assembly of the United Nations.

Tang will deliver a speech in the general debate of the assembly and attend UN meetings on African development, Afghanistan and anti-terrorism.

He will also meet with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, as well as state leaders or foreign ministers of some countries.
