China wishes to continue to develop friendly and cooperative relations between the trade unions of China and Japan, said Wei Jianxing, chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Monday.

At a meeting with a delegation from the Japanese Trade Union Confederation led by its president, Sasamori Kiyoshi, Wei said that exchanges between the industrial trade unions of the two countries is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan relations.

He said the activities aim to further develop friendship between the two countries and peoples in the spirit of drawing lessons from history and looking towards the future.
