Sino-Finnish Trade Growth Shows Potential: State Councilor

Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi said Tuesday in Beijing that there is still huge potential to tap for developing trade relations between China and Finland.

Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi said Tuesday in Beijing that there is still huge potential to tap for developing trade relations between China and Finland.

Wu made the remark during a meeting with visiting Finnish Foreign Trade Minister Jari Vilen.

Wu said the visit of Minister Vilen and his delegation was an indication of the interest on the part of Finnish entrepreneurs inthe Chinese market, adding she believed that the visit will push forward bilateral economic and trade links.

She also reviewed the rapid growth over recent years in bilateral trade between China and Finland, now China's largest trade partner in northern Europe.

Vilen said the scale of the visiting group itself demonstrated the resolve of Finnish corporations to explore bilateral economic ties, adding that such constructive bilateral exchanges will enhance mutual confidence for further deepening cooperation.
