US Printing Giant Enters Shanghai

The Shanghai-Dennelley Printing Co., Ltd, a Sino-US joint venture, is expected to be up and running next month, RR Dennelley & Sons Company of the United States announced in Shanghai recently.

The Shanghai-Dennelley Printing Co., Ltd, a Sino-US joint venture, is expected to be up and running next month, RR Dennelley & Sons Company of the United States announced in Shanghai recently.

Construction of the major workshops for the joint venture has been completed.

The joint company, with a total investment of 29.5 million US dollars, between the US printing giant and the Shanghai Press and Publication Administration will be the first firm in Shanghai providing business printing and other relevant services. It is capable of printing telephone directories, books, magazines and commodity lists for retail sales.

The Shanghai Press and Publication Administration and the US company control 51 percent and 49 percent respectively of the firm's total shares.

Bill Davis, chairman of the US company said he was confident ofits commercial development in China, which was attracting an increasing number of multinational corporations, international individuals and bilingual readers.
