Top Chinese Legislator Returns Home from Asia-Pacific Tour

Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), returned home Sunday afternoon after his official goodwill visits to Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia.

Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), returned home Sunday afternoon after his official goodwill visits to Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia.

Li and his entourage were greeted at the Great Hall of the People by Vice-Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Tian Jiyun, State Councilor Luo Gan and other Chinese officials, as well as diplomatic envoys of the four nations in China.
