A civil aviation training center jointly organized by the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) and Rolls-Royce International Limited (RR) celebrated its fifth anniversary on Monday.

The center has trained some 5,000 individuals from the civil aviation industry over the last five years and contributed to the rapid development of the industry, said Yang Guoqing, vice director of CAAC.

Jiang Wei, president of the RR Human Resources Department, expressed hope that the center will be able to train more personnel and promote international cooperation.

CAAC and RR signed a memorandum of understanding to renew the training agreement upon its expiration in 2003.
