Bangladeshi Minister Stresses Need for Learning from China

Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Wednesday said Bangladesh needs to learn a lot from China for its development and self-reliance.

Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan Wednesday said Bangladesh needs to learn a lot from China for its development and self-reliance.

"China rose to the present height due to the honesty and integrity in the leadership, we must take lessons from them," he said at a discussion on "Understanding the Modernization of China"at a city hotel.

Bangladesh-China People's Friendship Association (BCPFA) organized the discussion on the occasion of the 53rd founding anniversary of China.

He said all the present and past Chinese leaders made the nation disciplined from the beginning and that helped the country's development and economic growth.

Mannan Bhuiyan, who is also secretary general of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party, said China is the development partner and friend of Bangladesh, and China's cooperation and assistance in different fields would be enhanced to reduce Bangladesh's poverty and increase its self-reliance.
