Almost 400 people have died since Thursday when a Senegal passenger ferry capsized off the Gambian coast and many more have been feared dead.
Over 100 survivors were known to have been rescued, local radio reported Saturday.
The state-owned boat, the Joola, overturned at 11 p.m. (2300 GMT) on Thursday under the effect of a strong wind and rain when it left Ziguinchor, chief town in the Senegalese province of Casamance for the capital Dakar.
The Senegal government had declared three days of national mourning for the victims in one of Africa's worst boat disasters.
A total of 796 people were listed on board the ferry, designed to carry 550.
