China Terminates Anti-dumping Investigation of Feed Grade Imports

China has put a halt to its anti-dumping investigations against l-lysine monohydrochloride feed grade imported from the United States, the Republic of Korea and Indonesia, after finding the dumping did not cause significant damage.

China has put a halt to its anti-dumping investigations against l-lysine monohydrochloride feed grade imported from the United States, the Republic of Korea and Indonesia, after finding the dumping did not cause significant damage.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) made the announcement Sunday.

In line with Chinese regulations on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy, MOFTEC launched an investigation on June 19 last year against dumping of the kind of feed additive imported from the three countries.

While MOFTEC investigated the involved producers and exporters of the three countries, the State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC) looked into the damage that the relevant industry in China might have suffered.

The investigation found that dumping did take place to some extent, but it did not cause substantial damage to the domestic industry.

In view of that information, MOFTEC decided to cease investigation of the case in accordance with the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy regulations.
