Threatening letters against American existence in Afghanistan were found in Jalalabad city, capital of Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, Voice of America (VOA) Pashtun Service reported Monday.

According to VOA, those letters distributed in recent successive nights issued warnings against United States and asked all local music shops to be closed, otherwise, they would be exploded.

Ajab Shah, a local security official said, there were some people who wanted to breach peace and security, and sometimes they also disturbed security by firing rockets to the city. But he didn't make clear who were in the back of these actions.

Unconfirmed information said similar letters had ever appeared in Kabul and several other provinces as well in recent months.
