China Wins Women's 4X200m Freestyle Relay Title at Asiad

China completed a clean sweep of Tuesday's swimming events by winning the women's 4X200m freestyle relay at the 14th Asian Games.

Chinese women swimmers timed seven minutes 58.46 seconds in the 4x200m freestyle relay, bettering the old Asian Games mark of 8:08.00 by nearly 10 seconds Tuesday.

In the most scrappy meet of the day, the Japanese finished in the second in a time of 8:02.76, and South Korea third in 8:19.62.

The Chinese quartet of Zhu Yingwen, Tang Jingzhi, Xu Yanwei andYang Yu, locked their leading position throughout the event.

Yang Yu and Xu Yanwei won the gold and silver medals in the women's 200m freestyle respectively on Monday.

Pakistan finished the last but got the hottest applause from the audience as the Pakistani women only made their debut in the Asian Games swimming tournament.

China swept all five swimming golds on offer on Tuesday.
