Beijing Launches New Edition of Invoice

The new edition of invoices is widely adopted in Beijing as of Tuesday following two months of trial use, prizewinning invoices can be cashed at the designated points throughout the city, according to sources from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation.

The new edition of invoices is widely adopted in Beijing as of Tuesday following two months of trial use, prizewinning invoices can be cashed at the designated points throughout the city, according to sources from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Taxation.

Beijing began to use the new edition of invoices on a trial basis on August 1 this year in some of its regions. The new edition simplifies invoice species and improves counter-fake measures, bonus for prizewinning invoices is divided into seven categories, ranging from 100 yuan (about 12.09 US dollars) to 5000yuan (about 604.59 dollars).

The trial use shows that the new edition not only helps improveconsumers' consciousness in paying taxes, but also helps stimulateconsumption and expand domestic demand.

A spokesman for the Bureau said that the old edition of invoices is valid until Dec. 31 of this year.
