Chinese Quartet Breaks Asian Record in Men's 400m Freestyle Relay

Chinese quartet swam three minutes 21.07 seconds in the men's 4 x 100m freestyle relay at the Asiad Wednesday, breaking the old Asian mark of 3:22.01 which was set byJapan at Fukuoka World Championships last July.

Chinese quartet swam three minutes 21.07 seconds in the men's 4 x 100m freestyle relay at the Asiad Wednesday, breaking the old Asian mark of 3:22.01 which was set byJapan at Fukuoka World Championships last July.

The quartet made up by Huang Shaohua, Jin Hao, Chen Zuo and LiuYu were different from the one in the morning heats, as Liu Yu appeared to be China's secret weapon, replacing Shi Cheng.

Japan won the silver in a time of 3:23.03, and South Korea placed third in 3:23.58.
