Japan broke China's monopoly of AsianGames rowing gold medals by winning the men's lightweight double sculls title on Thursday.

Japan
broke China's monopoly of AsianGames rowing gold medals by winning the men's lightweight double sculls title on Thursday.
The Japanese pair Daisaku Takeda and Kazushige Ura clocked 7.00.50 for the gold, beating China into second place by a shocking 10.50 seconds margin. The Philippines finished third in 7.17.84.
Earlier China won the men's lightweight four-oars coxless and women's lightweight double sculls titles to add to Wednesday's six golds.
China swept all the 11 rowing golds at the last Asian Games.
