China's Zhang Nan Takes Women's All-around Title at Asiad

Zhang Nan from China snatched the gold medal in the women's all-around event on Thursday, the fourthday of the two-week 14th Asian Games in South Korea's southern Busan.

Zhang Nan from China snatched the gold medal in the women's all-around event on Thursday, the fourthday of the two-week 14th Asian Games in South Korea's southern Busan.

Oskana Chusovitina from Uzbekistan netted the silver.

Zhang Nan, 16, came first with a total of 37.025 point, with her higest 9.500 on the uneven bars, while Chusovitina, the oldestgymnast in the world, came second with 36.40.

Zhang took the lead from her second event uneven bars, where she got her highest point of 9.500.

Her teammate Kang Xin rested on the third place as she sufferedfaults on the floor and her specialty beam.

The low scores on the two apparatus sent Kang to the third place in the contest, which lasted one and half hours.
