Man Apprehended after Shooting at UN Headquarters
UN security guards apprehended a man who fired pistol shots outside the United Nations Secretariat building in New York on Thursday.

UN security guards apprehended a man who fired pistol shots outside the United Nations Secretariat building in New York on Thursday.
No injuries were reported.
The man, who wearing a blue, long-sleeved cotton shirt, walked inside the gate of the UN compound brandishing a pistol and fired it five times into the air, a witness working at the United Nations said.
The witness said that he did not see anyone hurt by the shots, but Diplomatic Security quickly descended onto the outside entry of the United Nations and took the man away in handcuffs.
The witness described the handgun as a silver-covered pistol. He said the man was also carrying leaflets. It was not clear what the leaflets said.
It was not clear how the man got past security.
