China's Chen Hua Wins Women's Swimming 800m Freestyle Gold

Chinese swimmer Chen Hua swam a new games record time of eight minutes 25.36 seconds to win the women's 800m freestyle gold medal at the 14th Asian Games on Saturday.

Chinese swimmer Chen Hua swam a new games record time of eight minutes 25.36 seconds to win the women's 800m freestyle gold medal at the 14th Asian Games on Saturday.

With the gold, China has increased its gold tally from the pool to 17, which ensured its leading place over Japan.

Sachiko Yamada of Japan had the silver at 8:28.77 and Zhang Yan,from China, took the bronze at 8:44.80.
