Media Personnel Invited for Food Cultural Tour in S. Korea

Some 30 media representatives from newspapers, news agencies and magazines from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand will be in South Korea for a "Korean Food Cultural Tour" October 14-19 as part of the government's campaign to promote Korean traditional food for foreign visitors.

Some 30 media representatives from newspapers, news agencies and magazines from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand will be in South Korea for a "Korean Food Cultural Tour" October 14-19 as part of the government's campaign to promote Korean traditional food for foreign visitors.

The media personnel, invited by the culture and tourism ministry of ROK and the S. Korea National Tourism Corporation (KNTC), will be led to the Gwangju Kimchi Festival, Food Culture Food Fiesta, a museum for rice cake and kitchen gear, Galbi (beef rib) restaurant in Suwon, a red-pepper bean-paste village in Sunchang for a special taste of Korean culinary arts.

Those invited include reporters from the Jiji Press, Tokyo Shimbun, Yomiuri and Nishinihon papers from Japan as well as JTB, Japan's tourist agency, China's Xinhua News Agency, Singapore's Straits Times and Thailand's Dichan magazine.
