Senior CPC Official Meets East Timor Guests

Wei Jianxing, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, met on Tuesday with a delegation from the Revolutionary Front of Independent East Timor led by its deputy general secretary Jose Maria Dos Reis.

Wei Jianxing, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, met on Tuesday with a delegation from the Revolutionary Front of Independent East Timor led by its deputy general secretary Jose Maria Dos Reis.

Wei said the CPC was dedicated to promoting exchanges and cooperation with the Revolutionary Front, ruling party in the newly-independent East Timor, for better mutual understanding and trust and enhancing bilateral ties as a whole.

Reis said the choice of China as the first destination on his party's overseas visit since East Timor's independence indicated the party's strong commitment to developing friendly relations with the CPC and advancing country-to-country ties.(
