An Air Koryo passenger jet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Tuesday made second flight on an inter-Korean direct air route, according to South Korean national news agency Yonhap News.

The inter-Korean direct air route was opened on July 20 to transport South Korean workers and materials for the construction of light-water nuclear reactors in the DPRK.

Carrying 53 South Koreans, the 150-seat airplane arrived at South Korean Yangyang Airport from the DPRK's Sondok Airport Tuesday afternoon, said Yonhap.

And then, the DPRK's airplane left for Sondok Airport at 2:30 p.m.(0530 GMT) with 124 other South Koreans involved in the reactor project aboard, said Yonhap.

It is the second time that a DPRK airplane flew over the Yangyang-Sondok direct air route. A smaller 70-seat TU-134 Air Koryo passenger jet made the pilot flight on July 20 on the direct inter-Korean air route.
