State Council Holds Executive Meeting

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji presided over the 64th executive meeting of the State Council Wednesday in Beijing.

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji presided over the 64th executive meeting of the State Council Wednesday in Beijing.

During the meeting, participants examined and approved the draft regulation defining job titles in China's customs department.The draft will be submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for approval.

Participants expected the draft regulation to help improve the functioning of the customs department and also strengthen supervision of the customs staff.
