Diving World Champions Enrolled by Renmin University of China

Ten Chinese diving elites, including world champion Guo Jingjing and Sydney Olympic Games synchronized winners Li Na and Sang Xue, have been enrolled by the Renmin University of China on Friday in Beijing.

Ten Chinese diving elites, including world champion Guo Jingjing and Sydney Olympic Games synchronized winners Li Na and Sang Xue, have been enrolled by the Renmin University of China on Friday in Beijing.

Due to their excellent performances at international meets, theworld and Olympic champions have been enrolled by the prestigious university in China without the entrance examination.

Guo Jingjing, double gold medalist at the Busan Asian Games which concluded on Oct.14, said: "Today is a special day that I will remember forever. A new life is in front of me.

"I will try hard to win more trophies and at the same time be agood student," said the Olympic runner-up.

Chen Hua, director of the School of Humanities, said that the school provides a special six-year study program for the divers who have to keep on training and competing. "They can choose theirmajors after basic knowledge study in the first two years. We hope we can offer a springboard for them to a brighter future," Chen said.
