Firecrackers Explosion Turns Wedding into Mourning in Central Iran

Two 19-year-old boys were killed in central Iran on Friday night in an explosion of firecrackers, which they were carrying to set off at a wedding ceremony, the IRNA news agency reported on Saturday.

Two 19-year-old boys were killed in central Iran on Friday night in an explosion of firecrackers, which they were carrying to set off at a wedding ceremony, the IRNA news agency reported on Saturday.

The boys, named Hossein and Mostafa Mokhtari, were riding a motorbike behind a bevy of honking cars of the party goers on the streets of Khomeini-Shahr in Isfahan Province when the firecrackerswent off, killing the two on the spot.

Local police said the two had sustained severe burns on their stomachs, feet and chests.
