Wei Jianxing Visits National Judges College

Wei Jianxing, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, paid a visit to the National Judges College on Friday.

Wei Jianxing, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, paid a visit to the National Judges College on Friday.

Wei, who is also a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, was accompanied by Luo Gan, a state councilor and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and Xiao Yang, president of the Supreme People's Court.

During the visit, Wei met with college officials and with participants attending a senior judge training course.

He praised the achievements made by China's courts in training judges, and credited the college with training highly competent judges during its five years of operation.

The soul of the courts' work lies in judicial impartiality, he stressed.

The college was established on November 10, 1997.
