Tibetan Official Meets Canadian Guests

Wu Jilie, vice-chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional government, met with Lisa Armstrong of the Canadian International Development Administration Thursday.

Wu Jilie, vice-chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional government, met with Lisa Armstrong of the Canadian International Development Administration Thursday.

Wu thanked the Canadian government for its aid to Tibet. He said the Sino-Canadian cooperative programs in Tibet had achieved good results and he hoped the cooperation would continue.

The Canadian government's aid to Tibet started in 1990. To date, it involves 24 programs, with total aid of 3.6 million US dollars.
