China Approves Exchange of Cultural Relics

China's Revised Law on the Protection of Cultural Relics offers more opportunities for peopleto appreciate cultural relics from all over the country, Chinese museum specialists said in Beijing on Friday.

China's Revised Law on the Protection of Cultural Relics offers more opportunities for peopleto appreciate cultural relics from all over the country, Chinese museum specialists said in Beijing on Friday.

The revised law, adopted by the legislature two days ago, approves the exchange and transfer of cultural relics among state-run museums but stipulates museums should only spend fees receivedin exchanges on repairing or buying new relics.

An official with the State Administration of Cultural Heritage said the revised law aimed to better protect cultural relics by standardizing their exchange and transfer.
