Chinese Premier Back in Beijing after Cambodia Tour

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji was back in Beijing on Tuesday after a successful working visit to Cambodia.

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji was back in Beijing on Tuesday after a successful working visit to Cambodia.

During his stay in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, Zhu held talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, attended the sixth Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) plus China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (10 Plus Three) Summit, the sixth ASEAN plus China (10 Plus One) Summit and the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Summit, and held talks with leaders of Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen, State Councilor and Secretary-General of the State Council Wang Zhongyu and diplomats with the Cambodian Embassy in Beijing went to the Great Hall of the People to welcome back Zhu and his entourage.
