China Invents First Remote-controlled Fire Truck

China's first remote-controlled fire truck was born in a research lab in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.

China's first remote-controlled fire truck was born in a research lab in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.

The truck, with a maximum load capacity of seven tons, can spray 100 liters of water per second up to a height of 80 meters.

Sources with the lab said the truck, which cost 1.5 million yuan to invent, can be used to deal with fires impossible or too dangerous for humans to access, such as those in petroleum and petro-chemical plants, and is also useful in situations involving poisonous gas or dangerous chemicals.
