14 Killed, 17 Injured in South Indian Bus Blast

Fourteen passengers, including six women and two children, were killed and 17 injured in the blast triggered by the outlawed People's War Group (PWG) militants in the state transport bus in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh in south India Monday night.

Fourteen passengers, including six women and two children, were killed and 17 injured in the blast triggered by the outlawed People's War Group (PWG) militants in the state transport bus in Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh in south India Monday night.

Correcting the death toll, as against 30 announced earlier Tuesday morning, police confirmed Tuesday that there were 31 passengers including the driver and conductor of the bus, which was on its way to Eturunagaram when the incident took place near Chintagudem.

Police said that 14 people, including six women and two children were killed and 17 others injured.

The victims, most of them tribals, were returning after attending a weekly bazar at Kunagudem village, according to the Press Trust of India.
