China's Defense Minister Meets DPRK Guests

China will further develop its ties with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the basis of their traditional friendship, and with a view toward the future, Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian said in Beijing on Wednesday.

Chinese DM Meets With DPRK Guest
China will further develop its ties with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on the basis of their traditional friendship, and with a view toward the future, Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian said in Beijing on Wednesday.

Chi, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China and a state councilor, made the remarks while meeting with a delegation from the DPRK, headed by Sin Dong Kun, deputy director of the External Affairs Department of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces of DPRK.

Chi also briefed the guests on the just-concluded 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Sin Dong Kun congratulated China on its successful 16th National Congress of the CPC and expressed his hope that China would accomplish greater achievements in the future. He said DPRK would strive to consolidate the friendship between the two countries and their armed forces.
