China Mobile Named Best Investor Relations Company for 2002

China Mobile (Hong Kong) was named the best investor relations company for 2002 by more than 560 sell- and buy-side analysts and portfolio managers worldwide.

China Mobile (Hong Kong) was named the best investor relations company for 2002 by more than 560 sell- and buy-side analysts and portfolio managers worldwide.

The poll conducted by Investor Relations magazine and Taylor Nelson Sofres Hong Kong showed that Legend Group Limited and CNOOC(China National Offshore Oil Corporation) were highly commended for the same category.

The magazine, published in New York and London, hosts annual awards ceremonies in the United States, Britain, Europe and Asia.

The survey findings showed that the general quality of investorrelations programs for these companies is improving. When asked ifthe quality had improved or declined over the last one or two years, 76 percent of the respondents said "improved" and 11 percent said "declined."

The Hong Kong-based airlines Cathay Pacific's Director for Corporate Development Tony Tyler was chosen as the best investor relations officer while Legend's Executive Director and Senior Vice President Mary Ma was highly commended for the category.
