Chinese Shine at Parallel Bars Semifinal

Chinese Li Xiaopeng reaffirmed his dominance in the parallel bars as he finished top in the semifinals at the World Gymnastic Championships in Debrecen, Hungary on Friday.

Chinese Li Xiaopeng reaffirmed his dominance in the parallel bars as he finished top in the semifinals at the World Gymnastic Championships in Debrecen, Hungary on Friday.

Li Xiaopeng, the title holder of Sydney Olympics of the event, continued his flawless routine on Thursday to score 9.587 points to lead the eight gymnasts into the finals on Sunday.

His teammates Huang Xu, who was the member of team's title at Sydney Olympics, was 6th with 9.250 points.

Andreu Vivo of Spain came alongside with Li with 9.512 and 2002European Championship's runner-up Mitja Petkovsek of Slovania listed third, 9.512 points.

Defending champion Sean Townsend of the United States finished 9.075 and was eliminated from the final.
