Ukrainian President Appoints Top Ministers for New Government
Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma on Tuesday appointed four top ministers for the new government.

Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma on Tuesday appointed four top ministers for the new government.
Mikola Azarov, who had been heading Ukraine's tax department since 1996, was appointed the country's new first deputy prime minister and finance minister.
Ivan Kirilenko, who was policy minister from October 2000 to last March, was named deputy prime minister in charge of agriculture.
Dmitro Tabachnik, who had been heading the parliament's foreignaffairs committee, was promoted to deputy prime minister in chargeof humanitarian issues.
Vitaly Haiduk, a former energy minister, was appointed deputy prime minister for fuel and energy.
The Ukrainian parliament voted last week to select Viktor Yanukovich, a governor from the eastern coal-producing Donetsk region, as the new prime minister. Yanukovich won 234 votes in the450-seat parliament despite an opposition boycott.
Yanukovich said on Monday that Anatoly Zlenko, Volodymyr Shkidchenko, Yury Smirnov and Olexander Lavrynovich would remain respectively in the posts of foreign, defense, interior and justice ministers.
