China, Jordan Sign Economic Cooperation Agreement

China and Jordan signed Tuesday in Amman an economic and technical cooperation agreement as part of common efforts to promote bilateral ties.

China and Jordan signed Tuesday in Amman an economic and technical cooperation agreement as part of common efforts to promote bilateral ties.

The agreement was signed by Chinese Ambassador to Amman Chen Yonglong and Jordanian Minister of Planning Bassem Awadallah.

Under the agreement, China agrees to grant Jordan 10 million RMByuan (1.2 million US dollars) to support the kingdom's socio-economic transformation programs.

The new deal brought China's grants to Jordan's economic and technological programs to a total of 5 million dollars since 1999.
